Kali is an effective system of self-defense that has been developed and proven on the battlefield in warfare. The techniques focuses on stick and knife, close range fighting incorporates the use of elbows, knees, head butts, punches and kicks. Grapping techniques including locks, chokes, throws, sweeps and take-downs. The training will develop attributes such as speed agility, footwork, timing, body mechanics, distance. range awareness and coordination on both sides of the body.
Students are require to purchase their own training rattan sticks, they can be purchased online or through the instructor.
This Instructional class is held every Thursday night at 8:15 pm, $12 Drop-in fee or Class Cards accepted.
Instructor: Kevin DungYo started Martial Art training in the age of eight. I have trained in several different kinds of system such as Kung-Fu, TKD, and Aikido. In 2006, I began training Wing Chun Kung-Fu under Sifu Francis Fong. later i have received my Apprentice Instructor degree under Sifu Fong. I have also been teaching since 2008,both kids and adult. I believe training makes people feel more confident about themselves. Knowing is not enough, must know how to apply.
