Bi-Monthly Open Dance Circle

Come dance into the joy of Floorspace!Every 2nd and 4th Friday of the month.

This Community Dance Circle is an open invitation for dancer’s of all disciplines and levels to come together to explore how we can connect and inspire each other through various forms of movement and dance. You can use this time for personal practice and or choose to enter the circle to dance with others in this round robin format. A short, facilitated group warm up will be offered. Sit back and witness, dive deeper into your personal dance or experiment and try on someone else’s moves. Facilitated by Andrea Trombetta.

Andrea Trombetta has been a devotee of Floorspace Dance Studio since its birth. She has produced numerous video and dance performances and collaborations, as well as designed costumes and performed with Julie Rothschild, Warehouse Collective and Zen Monkey Project. Andrea grew up with the traditional dancing of tap, ballet and jazz through high school, and then pursued modern and contemporary dance throughout college. She received her MFA from the Lamar Dodd School of Art at the University of Georgia in 2005. Andrea Trombetta of Trombetta Designs currently resides in Athens, Georgia and works out of her fabric design studio neighboring Floorspace. She exhibits and sells her work both regionally and internationally, presenting 2-D, 3-D and live performance work. Andrea has taught art and movement to both adults and children for the last 12 years, ranging from UGA, Gainesville State College, Oglethorpe University to Lyndon House Arts Center, Healing Arts Centre and Good Dirt Ceramic Arts Center. She is presently a new mother having the time of her life with sweet, Isabella Rose.
