Class Descriptions:

Textbook Tease: Cultivation of Character/ Signatures in Movement Workshop w/ Talloolah Love

We all have a character we portray when we get on the stage. Whether your stage is the bedroom for one, or in a spotlight in front of hundreds how we project that character with our bodies and face are extremely important. This class is about knowing what you want to reveal to the audience and it ain’t all about the skin you show! Talloolah Love cultivates the character you have with this class. Part lecture, part dance class, so bring paper and something to write with, and be prepared to move, dance and sweat! Heels are not necessary, but not discouraged.

Vintage Hair Styles Workshop w/ Talloolah Love
Talloolah Love has been doing the up-do’s with vintage flair and emphasis on glamour for the past nine years. She can show you the secret formula for polishing your look on stage with the perfect coif. It is advisable to bring a camera and be prepared to take notes. Talloolah Love has made her name within stylist circles from her experience with weddings, Hair fashion shows with Aveda, and photo shoots done all over Atlanta. She feels that vintage hairstyles are a lost art and wishes to share it in a fun and practical way to the modern femme fatale!

Trash to Treasure!
This your crafting class extraordinaire! Take simple household items, scraps of fabric and items you already own that you would never think could become what they become and make them into fabulous items for your act. This is a hands on experience and one that every burlesque performer needs.

Fonda’s Proper Props Class
This class starts with a basic movement routine. We then take basic burlesque props and show you how to use them in your act! Chairs, boas, gloves, clothing articles and even an introduction to the fabulous fan dance! When it’s all said and done, we will be taking that basic routine and adding those props to that routine and Voila! You’ve got yourself a burlesque number! Be prepared to move! Please wear heels and if you have any of the above props please bring them as well. We will have a few.
