American Tribal Style (ATS) is an entirely improvisational group bellydance vocabulary rooted in Middle Eastern, modern, flamenco, and kathak movements and created by Carolena Nericcio of Fat Chance Belly Dance. This class will get students familiar with the basic movements of ATS as well as introducing theories of improvisation and formation, music, and zils.
